Now Hiring Passenger Van Driver, Special Needs, and Wheelchair NEMT Transportation
ADE Transit Firm is growing and looking to hire drivers who are friendly, empathetic and responsible. Build trust and reliability and defensive driving skills. You could be responsible for operating an assigned vehicle to transport passengers using walkers, wheelchairs, or stretchers.
JOB DUTIES:
- Represent the company values at all times while driving and in uniform
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitize vehicle between passengers
- Assist all passengers in and out of the vehicle using steps, ramps, and lifts
- Offer to assist with any personal items and equipment they may have
- Escort to door or inside if necessary
- Practice safe lifting and moving techniques
- Practice defensive driving at all times
- Pre and post-operation vehicle inspections
- Use a phone app to track trips
- Perform other duties as required
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 7 years’ driving experience in the US; prior experience as a Non-Emergency Medical Driver is preferred but not required.
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Must have your own transportation
- Candidate must possess a valid LA chauffeur’s license and a national driving record with:
- No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
- No Failures to Appear/ Pay (FTA/FTP) in the last 5 years
- No suspensions in the last 5 years
- No reckless driving or driving under the influence in the past 7 years
- DOT Physical –repetitive lifting, bending, squatting, pushing
- Vision check required, must be able to see and drive at night. Assistance was provided to acquire prescription glasses and sunglasses
- Pre-employment, random, and reasonable suspicion drug screens
